Honeymoon Travel

Taking a trip after planning a wedding for weeks and months is a well-deserved rest. But planning the honeymoon is important and should not be left to chance. Here are some time-honored tips and tricks to make your trip the relaxing, romantic vacation it should be:

1. Keepyousafe.com is a great web site to utilize when you travel. You can store copies of your passport, birth certificate and credit cards for easy access in case of an emergency. And in case you think that this might be a scam, think again---The site is super-secure; it uses the same encryption technology as the US Military and has been endorsed by publications such as The Wall Street Journal.

2. A travel agent can be your best friend when you travel. They know the ins and the outs of travel, can find great deals, set up services for you, check out the nightlife and recommend sites to see. They also can help in cases of emergency by calling for room and travel accommodations not to mention helping you choose an itinerary that matches your personalities.

3. Use a credit card as much as possible when you travel. It helps to keep everything on one card. If you are traveling in a foreign country, the rate of exchange is sometimes better when you use a card vs. cash. And calling your credit card company to help dispute a bill or send you a new card if yours is lost can be a lifesaver. Cash doesn't do that.

4. Don't pack so much into your trip that you loose the true meaning of why you took a honeymoon in the first place---learning to rest and relax with each other. We can get so caught up in the goings and comings of a new place that we forget to stop and look around us to enjoy the atmosphere and the sights and most of all--in each other.
