PIctures to remind us

When looking for a photographer to capture your wedding, if they place time limits on how long they will be at your wedding, find another photog. Your wedding is a once in a lifetime event. How can you place a time limit on the number of treasured shots that a photographer could capture? If your photographer leaves after the cake cutting, which you did as soon as you reached the reception, then who captured the tears that your father shed during his toast to the newlyweds? Who is there to capture the first dance? The chicken dance with Uncle Louie who is no longer with your family?

These shots are precious. Please don't miss out on them or leave them to an amature who promises to capture what the photographer misses. I had a bride who insisted that her good friend from work would capture the reception as they wanted to save money by not booking their photographer for longer than 3 hours. Her friend ended up getting drunk at the wedding and any lifetime memories were long gone. She was heartbroken as there was not one shot at the reception of her grandparents who are no longer living.

Photography is a place to comparison shop, not be cheap. Forgo the limo for 10 people for 30 minutes at $300 and hire your photographer for the entire day. You won't be sorry!
Our thanks to Lance Shuey who sent us these beautiful pictures. Watch for more of his amazing photos related to the kissing couple in another blog. You will love the story that his pictures tell!
