Love this letter!

Sometimes, I am fortunate enough to receive a romantic, adorable engagement letter. Here is one that I wanted to share with you.

I saw the notice about entering for the most original engagement story, and I just had to e-mail to tell you about my incredibly thoughtful fiance, Tyler. Tyler and I had been together for a little over three years when I suddenly got the urge to take off for a weekend and fly to Florida for some time as a couple. I mentioned the idea to Tyler, and he jumped at the opportunity, so we planned an impromptu weekend trip to Orlando. Now, a little back-story. When Tyler and I first met, I was working for a music store as a brand-new manager, and took a manager's trip to Orlando. The three-day getaway always stuck in my head, and I've had a fascination with Florida ever since - I'm sure he knows the details of that trip as well as I do by now! Anyway, on Friday, May 1st, 2009 we flew to Orlando on a very early morning flight. On the way down to Florida, Tyler kept asking me for details of my first Orlando trip: special places I remembered, memories that stuck out in my mind, et cetera. When our flight arrived, we walked from our hotel down to Universal City Walk, since it was one of my favorite places on my first trip and I wanted to share it with him. We walked along a path down by the water's edge, and he asked me again if this was probably one of my favorite places. I told him yes, since I had many fond memories of the beautiful view, but mentioned that it looks even more special at night with the path lit up to guide you. We continued our day at Universal CityWalk, stopping at the Universal store at one point. Sentimentalist that I am, I suggested having a commemorative dog tag engraved with our names and the date, May 1st, 2009 on it to remember our first trip to Florida. After going to a wonderful dinner, Tyler took me on a walk along my favorite path again, stopping under my favorite bridge, from which the view is breathtaking. As I sat on the wall to take in the view, he reached into his pocket, took a deep breath, and opened the little box and said "I've been waiting forever to do this. Will you marry me?" I, for the first time ever, was speechless... and then when I recovered, the first words out of my mouth were "How did you manage to have the ring in time for this trip?!?" The ring he gave me was the ring of my dreams, one we looked at together over a year before then, sized perfectly for my hand. After I recovered enough to exclaim "Of course I'll marry you!" amidst tears, he explained that he'd had the ring for several months, and had been trying to plan the perfect setting and time for him to propose. Not only did we have the perfect weekend together and make some wonderful memories, I came home with some unbelievable souveniers: the man of my dreams as my fiance, my beautiful engagement ring, and an engraved dog tag with the date of our engagement - made before I even knew I would be engaged! This story is my reminder that sometimes, life just works out the way it is meant to, and I'll remember every detail for the rest of my life!
