I will never understand

You spend hundreds (even thousands) oif dollars on your dress, makeup, hair, tuxedo, flowers, beautiful invitation, a venue, food, dance, beverage and gifts.  You are absolutely in love with each other and have taken great care to make sure that your day is perfect and beautiful.  Why disrepect each other with this debassing act?
I love a joke as much as the next guy - but this really does not have any place at a wedding. Making sure that you wife falls to the ground with cake smashed oin her face?  Not funny!
