Fall in love

The temperature this week sounds perfect; warmer days, cooler nights!  Fall is such a great time for a wedding.  The shorter days make for great candlelight ceremonies of which I am a huge fan.  I have often encouraged a couple to dim the overhead fluorescent lights and light the candles - hundreds of them - for a ceremony of softness, reverence, specialness and the "Wow" factor.

There are some rules to follow when getting ready for your own candlelight ceremony:
1.  Make sure that the candles going down the aisle are LED candles.  You don't want to catch any clothing on fire!
2.  Make sure that al candles are enclosed in glass.  This is not the place for open flames.
3.  Make sure that there are no candles where children willl be located.
4.  Make sure that there is something to capture all drips, since candle wax can ruin linens.
5.  Keep all candles in the refrigerator or very cold place until it is time for use.  The cold helps the candles to drip less.
6.  Make sure that you appoint someone to watch over your candles.  Have a fire extinguisher or alternate plan ready for wayward flames.
