Light makes such a difference

Iowa has the most amazing weddings and photographers.  This recent one was sent in from Geno Photography

Romance and love was what the day was all about when shooting this beautiful wedding. Liz and Jeremiah were an amazing couple to work with. Their ceremony was in Riverside at the beautiful St. Mary's. We got some amazing shots around the church. It is so much fun to photograph weddings in ornate churches. So many beautiful nooks to capture wonderful moments with the couple.

After the ceremony, we headed to Iowa City to Old Capitol Brew Works, where we got some more awesome pictures of the couple. They were so open to everything and really seized the opportunity to create and capture spectacular moments on their wedding day. As a photographer of course I'm slightly biased, but Liz and Jeremiah shared my sentiment that wedding portraits are important and were willing to steal away for 5-10 minutes here and there during their celebration, which led to a lot of amazing and romantic portraits. I wish more people would view their wedding day portraits less as a necessary chore during the day and more as a fun and romantic way to capture their love and immortalize this important day. (Ok, enough of my photographer biased tangent, lol!)

After Old Capitol Brew Works, we headed to their reception in Richmond. The hall was beautiful, so many details from a custom ice luge to a monogram spotlight for their dance floor. It was beautiful. Towards the end of the night, I stole the bride and groom for one more quick session under a light outside the hall. I think the pictures are so romantic.     Can you tell I had a blast shooting their wedding?
