Real Weddings | Alisha and Quinten

It is not only the Groom that gets teary eyed when he sees his soon to be wife all dressed in her finery right before the wedding. Fathers are sentimental and prone to shedding a few tears of emotion as well. Carrie, with Geno Photography was able to witness one such father's emotion when he saw his daughter dressed in her gown at a recent wedding she was a part of. This is why I would make a terrible photographer-I wouldn't be able to see through the lens for the tears!

"On September 10th, I photographed the wedding of Quinten and Alisha at the Marriott in Coralville. Their day was simply stunning. We began the morning as the bride and her maids got their hair and makeup done. Then we did a very special "first look" between Alisha and her father. I have to say, it was an amazing event. There were tears all around as her beaming father laid eyes on her, all grown up, in her wedding gown. Then it was Quinten's turn to see his gorgeous bride.

We took formals at both the Marriott and downtown at the Old Capital. The ceremony was very tranquil, set in front of the river. The couple wrote their own vows, which always adds to the emotion of the ceremony. Their reception was very upbeat and fun. I am so happy to have been allowed to share in their amazing day. I have said it before, and it is still just as true as the day I started my studio, I love my job. How amazing it is to be surrounded by such love and beauty!"
