Dec 21 | The Week in Review | by Cynthia _______________________________________________________________________
It is hard to believe that yet another week has flown by and Christmas is right around the corner - literally! This is the time of the year when it is good to reflect on friends and family and the many blessings that we have and often-times neglect to be thankful for. I know that we are guilty of this in the office, especially when we get caught up in events, various projects, building, traveling and whatever else lands across our desk. It is good to slow down and savor the goodness that comes to us everyday; we simply have to look for it.
This week was a good one. Appointments with new clients [my favorite because I get to meet wonderful people almost every day!], building new furniture, styling the warehouse, vintage shopping, traveling, and keeping up with you on the Blog. If you got caught up in the Xmas rush, we have the week in review all bundled up neatly right here. Have a wonderful weekend!
We love barn weddings, whether they are planned and executed by our team or anyone else! Their very setting is fun, organic and laid back in style, so when we read about a barn wedding from our neighboring state in Minnesota, we couldn't keep it to ourselves!
The pictures come from Every Last Detail. The details truly are precious and so in keeping with the celebration that this Bride and Groom chose. One look and you can feel the love in everything they shared with their guests.
Because we left super early Monday morning to travel to northern Iowa and didn't get home until very late, we needed a little light and summer feel in the office. Elizabeth Anne Designs never fails to inspire us with her beautiful weddings, so when we spied this outdoors affair, we knew that it was perfect to share with our readers - think warm and fuzzy love thoughts!
We love bridal fashion; couture, new and seasoned designers, romantic looks, ballgowns, Grecian gowns and more - we love them all. Bridal fashion is not just dictated to the Bride, however, we love the little ones as well and just had to share these gorgeous Flower Girl creations with you. We think that you will adore them as much as we do!
It is no secret that Vintage Weddings steal our hearts! Their eclectic styling and fun furniture pieces always make for great photos and today's wedding is no different. Sarah and Nick fell in love with the vintage rentals from Vintage Love, Rentals and annessi, so their wedding reflected their choices. We are crushing on the favor cupboard and Sarah's Bouquet!
In visiting one of our favorite blogs, Magnolia Rouge, we found this Photo Shoot shot by Anthem Photography. We knew that it was a perfect way to end the work week, but it is the gorgeous vintage chair and wedding cake that get our hearts racing!

Some of the hottest colors in wedding florals for 2013 was blush, peach and
barely-there pink. From the looks of the consultations that we have had for
2014 weddings, this color trio is here to stay for awhile. I for one love the
color combination! It makes for romantic floral creations both in bouquets and
arrangements. The soft palette compliments almost every skin tone and the flower
choices are endless.

One of our Preferred Vendors, Shores Event
Center, is located in the heart of Cedar Rapids, IA. Their rustic elegance
in a renovated vintage building makes them a perfect choice for
weddings. Building features such as built in chalkboards, a wet bar, beautiful
brick walls and cement columns add great interest.
