The 2014 Wedding Season is in full swing. With Weddings comes Engagement Photo Sessions which we love! It is the perfect time to see the love & passion that a couple have for each other. It is also a time to get creative with your style and locations. When Geno Photography sent us this Engagement Shoot in Clear Lake, IA we were over the moon in love instantly with this couple's fun spirit and obvious fun that they had with Carrie. Their devil-may-care attitudes are infectious.
The second half of the session was at the shore of Clear Lake. The sun was bright across the lake, but I love the images we were able to capture. The wind was blowing across the lake, creating lots of waves in the water which made a beautiful texture on the water. After walking along the docks and beach, we ended our session on the bench where Kenny proposed to Erin. It was a perfect ending to our session.
By, now you can tell that this week has gotten a little away from us. We have been busy with appointments, traveling and working in the warehouse. We have decided to open it up as a funky, unusual venue space for Ceremonies, Receptions, Engagement Sessions and other Events, so are busy rearranging, redoing, adding more rentals and creating spaces within spaces. We are super excited! If you would like to take a personal tour through this fun space or need more information, please contact Cynthia@WeddingsinIowa.com.

Last weekend, I headed up to Clear Lake to capture Kenny and Erin's engagement
portraits. I haven't been to Clear Lake for a couple years, so I was excited to
head back up that way. I love the opportunity to photograph somewhere new. We
began our session at the Central Gardens of North Iowa. It is a beautiful
location and the evening light created a wonderful glow. It was a perfect
location for their portraits.
