Money saving tips for the perfect wedding

Here are some money saving tips for a perfect wedding:

1. Have a budget.
2. Plan well.
3. Interview at least three of each type of service provider for the best deal for your event.
4. Control the alcohol consumption: that means no keg beer, or at least, if you must serve keg beer, do so in a glass glass. No shots. Cut down on the hard liquor.
5. Have your ceremony at the same place as your reception. No travel time means no limousine expense.
6. Eliminate the cocktail hour by timing your ceremony to flow right into your reception.
7. No favors. Give your guests good food and good entertainment and they won't need a trinket to remember you by.
8. Have one entree verses two entrees. Make sure to work closely with your caterer to serve fresh amazing food, but watch the cuts of meat. There are less expensive cuts of meat that can be served just as elegantly.
9. Theme your event. If you follow a certain color palate and "theme," your guests will understand your event and you end up gaining a bigger impact then if you did a little something here and there.
10. Try to consolidate into less vendors. Does your photographer or DJ company offer Videography? Does your planner decorate or do florals? Can your caterer provide flatware and dinnerware as well as linens? Using less vendors generally means greater savings for you and more control of the final product.
