Lots of work to do

My team and I just successfully completed two weddings last weekend. Not only were we the planner and the florist, but we did the decorations as well. It was a lot of organizing!

I once read that if you do something that you love, you will never work a day in your life. I think that is true. Even though we are bone-weary today, we do so with a smile on our face. It is very satisfying and gratifying to know that we have made a difference in two brides and their families' lives. As I have often said, you only get one day in your life to make your wedding day special. It is not a do-over day.

There is a lot to do to get ready for a wedding; much planning and preparation. But if you don't have enough help and execution on the day of, then all of your planning is for naught, because it really does come down to the final hours. Six hours to show everyone your months of choices, nights of addressing envelopes, matching colors, and endless hours of shopping and planning.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. It doesn't mean that you can't do it yourself, it just simply is smart to enlist help the day of your wedding to make sure that all of your plans see their way through. After all, you want to feel like a guest at your own wedding as well!
