We will be showing at the Ft. Des Moines Museum's Open House today. We decided to decorate the Ballroom as if it were set up for a reception. It will be beautiful. We were going to drape the ceiling, but the fabric didn't come in from New York as planned, so we are really bummed!
The room is already very beautiful, but we plan on taking it to a different level with some high and low centerpieces and the green and brown color scheme that we chose with ivory thrown in for relief.
The linens are green bombay floor-length. I love them. They have just the right amount of shimmer and drape. The napkins are chocolate brown and we have gold chavari chairs coming as the accent. The whole effect will be beautiful and stunning which is exactly what we are going for.
We went late last night to set up the chapel. We decided to do white with candles set all over, fabric chiffon draping along the pews and then ending with ivy and orchids pews falling from the ends of the pews. I am adding beautiful bows today to tie everything together.
We also decided to make 2 trees that set at the entrance of the aisle. We will add a white aisle runner and soft ivory petals this morning. I have to take pictures so will get them posted when I get home.
It should be beautiful!
