I promised you pictures from yesterday's Wedding Open House at the Ft. Des Moines Museum. These are certainly not professional (those are coming), but gives you a little idea of the elegance that even a small area can have for a wedding. The day was sunny and we had several people stop by to see how we transformed the space. Unfortunately my pictures don't do the room justice.
Love the green and the chocolate brown. We also decided to keep a smaller table for the head table, having just the bride and groom, maid of honor and best man, intimate and romantic.
We kept it light and spring-time like so that the snow outside would melt away (at least in our minds for a little while). It was a fun day.
The chapel turned out charming. Note the floral pattern on the aisle runner. The petals could be in any color and any configuration. I love the sweetness of the look.
