Cute Wedding video

Okay, I have to admit, that this video from Harding Videography is simply the "bananas!"  Notice the brides's bouquet, the cake and the photo booth set-up.  I am jealous in love!  Lance, Thank you for the great footage.  You just get better and better!

Monday

Lance Shuey

Lance from Lance Shuey Photography sent me some wonderful photos yesterday of recent weddings and I wanted to share them with you.  He does such an amazing job. His pictures are fun, wonderful, and beautiful; all rolled up into instant memories to be shared.   I feel like it is Christmas every time I open up my e-mails to see these wonderful weddings.   Enjoy!

I will have more from Lance this week.

Bridal Party Gifts

Instead of the obligitory flower corsage, how about a cute gift instead for those people that help you?  These gift ideas are not only adorable, but will be around long after the flowers fade.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!  I love birthdays almost as much as I love weddings.  I can't tell you how many candles are on my cake but I will say that we do have a fire extinguisher close by!

Congratulations to our Bride and Groom - Laura and Danny - from last Saturday.  It was a great day and they are a great couple.   The weather wasn't as cool as we would have liked, but you can't tell from their pictures- beautiful!

These were all random guest' shots.  I should have some professional pictures soon.

Sunday

Another Video

Tom from Cheshire Moon Films and I worked a wedding yesterday.  Of course, it was an outdoor wedding on the hottest day of the year, but that didn't stop us from doing a great job for a great bride and groom.
Tom's video was shot at the ceremony and shown at the reception - just a few short hours away.  I know that you will love it as much as I do.

Behind the scenes

It is always glamorous to see the end result of an event.  The lit candles, the beautiful centerpieces, the happy, laughing people.  But what about what goes into an event?  The untouched room, the dishes being placed, the "before" - rather than the "after" effect.
We had a lovely wedding this past weekend in northern Iowa.  Here are a few of the before pictures of the Fox Ridge Golf Country Club House.
You have to start with the room,

then you add the linens, the glasses, the tableware, the caterers....

and all of the work that goes into setting a lovely room....

add in a fun band set-up,

light the candles,

and you end up with a room set for a bride and a groom and their guests.
I almost forgot the lounge!  Now, doesn't that look like a fun place to hang out?

Wednesday

Let there be Light!

My team and I are a lover of specialty lighting at an event.  It could be as simple as a soft amber lighting along the walls or behind a headtable backdrop, or as elaborate as a light changing pattern on your dance floor.  Lighting adds so much to an event, that it is a shame not to allow just a few of these drama makers.
Here are a just a few examples that inspire us.
