Wedding Terms | Minaudiere

Ever wonder where we get some names for objects we love, let alone where it came from and how to promounce it?  I am a great lover of small clutch bags that are encrusted with jewels, beads, shells, you name it - I love it!  The correct name for these beauties - no it is not small clutch bag! - is Minaudiere.  This French word means "A small ornamental case used to carry cosmetics, jewelry or other personal items."   The word is pronounced mee-noh-dyair and is perfect for a Bride and her Maids to carry their Weddding Day essentials.
