Wedding Dresses | Jim Hjelm

With Bridal Week just wrapping up, we've got wedding gowns on the brain!  These gowns by Jim Hjelm are positively gorgeous, and a perfect way to start off a dreary Monday morning!  Here's a little more info about the brand and designer -

Francesca Pitera is the designer of Jim Hjelm Bridal and Occasions Collections.  Francesca was born and raised in Laguna Niguel, California, and attended Los Angeles' esteemed Otis Art Institute/Parsons School of Design.  She was awarded the Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry award in the category of best style bridesmaid's gowns, for the Jim Hjelm Occasions Collection both, in 2004, 2005, and 2008.

From Francesca: "Each dress has its own individual look and special details.  Every little thing is important, even the placement of embroidery or the way draping falls over a gown's bodice.  I try to offer a wide variety of different looks so I can give to brides and bridesmaids a range of strong choices.  The most important thing to me is that women are happy and feel absolutely gorgeous in their gowns."

Vera Wang's new Bridal Line

I am a lover of Vera Wang's bridal dresses, but this year's showing makes me even more of a believer. She is certainly talented and gifted and her understanding of fashion and fabric is clear to see. Here is a look-see at some of her beautiful designs: http://ow.ly/wa7e
