Real Weddings | Joanne & Blake, Part I

Over Labor Day weekend, we were so honored to be a part of Joanne and Blake's big day. Their ceremony, social hour, and reception all took place at the gorgeous Salisbury House here in Des Moines, and it was all captured by Jill Brown Photography. Since there's so many beautiful shots, we decided to break their day into multiple posts, so here's the first! Joanne and Blake got ready separately, but had a first look - their first look is one of the most adorable ones we've seen! Joanne wanted the girls' bouquets to be all different and requested succulents be included - the bright pops of color and green succulents were perfect with the soft gray of the bridesmaids' dresses and the guys' suits.

Real Weddings | Sarah & Eric

Labor Day Weekend was a huge wedding weekend for us! One of our weddings was with Sarah & Eric at HotelVetro in Iowa City. We were so excited about this wedding not only because the bride and groom were so gracious and lovely, but also because all the vendors involved were spectacular! Sarah and Eric chose purple as their main color with pops of green and silver throughout. The architecture and design of HotelVetro is very modern, which went perfectly with the bride and groom's design for their big day. The escort cards were pears from a local farm in Winterset - the pears created such a creative and unique touch! The whole day was captured by Drescher Photo and Design, and we couldn't be in love with these photos more - James and Missy are some of the very best in the industry - their work speaks for itself.
