Wednesday's Wedding Details

We have always maintained that details make a difference at a wedding.
The fold of a napkin, candles tucked here and there, a sprinkle of flowers in a spring salad; the list can go on and on. So it is no surprise that we are over the moon in love with anything that has to do with hand-lettered calligraphy; Invitations, Envelopes, Escort Cards, Favor Tags, Menus, Table Numbers, even Thank You's look more elegant and add a special touch to your event.

Here are some favorites......

Wedding Inspirations | Calligraphy

We love the way calligraphy can really make an invitation, RSVP card, menu, place card, or thank you gift that much more special.  It makes something more graphic and beautiful to look at, and is an extra touch for your wedding or event!

Make sure to check back on Ask Cynthia next week, we'll be starting a 2013 Trends series!

Looking for something to do this weekend?  Join us for the Ames Preferred Bridal Show from 12-3pm at the Quality Inn & Suites.  We have some of the absolute best vendors in the area, have some amazing prizes to give away, and there will even be a spectacular bridal fashion show by Ames' own Pure Bridal!  For more information and details, click here.  We hope to see you there!

Life is beautiful and should be celebrated

We will find any excuse to celebrate and event. Birthday's, anniversaries, graduations, births, deaths (yes, we can celebrate their wonderful life that they shared with us) and of course, weddings! One of the ways that we share in celebrations is with food. Food is a very important part of your wedding.
I love the menu options in the story board to the left. It comes from www.swanseabiz.info

Whether you are having a buffet, sit-down meal, potluck, or old-fashioned BBQ, food is the way that we share with each other. Therefore, the food that you share at your wedding should be delicious, appealing and in keeping with your over all wedding theme. Serving a potluck at a black tie affair would be ridiculous and so would a sit down meal complete with china and silver at a backyard casual bash. Your menu should be reflective of your style and the day.

Good food is a must. Chicken or beef, fish or vegetarian...no matter what the menu options, the caterer must be chosen with care and the food presented in a beautiful way as we eat with our eyes first. Ask friends and family for recommendations. Ask for samples and a tasting. If your caterer says that he does not do tastings, there is a reason why--run the other way and don't look back!
