We love to travel, and a couple weeks ago, we had the pleasure of traveling north to very near the Iowa-Minnesota border for Katie and Mike's wedding at Diamond Jo Casino. The couple chose gold and silver metallics with hints of blush and a slight vintage feel. We flooded the tables with candlelight and small floral arrangements, and for the head table, created a statement piece with an arrangement with three manzanita-branch trees. For their escort card display, we wrote the guests names on vintage window panes connected together on a vintage dresser. We also finished off the escort card display with a smaller dresser and coffee table which displayed family photos and vintage accessories.

Real Weddings | Beth & Ryan

This summer we have been so busy, we hardly know up from down, but we love our job, and wouldn't have it any other way! This past weekend, we had multiple weddings, one of them being Beth and Ryan's at Zart1312 downtown Des Moines. The couple chose plum and fuchsia, and incorporated their love of movies into their day as well. In fact, their ceremony was held at the Fleur Cinema! For their tables at the reception, we created lamps from large glass containers with submerged flowers, lamp shades, and a light to make the whole thing absolutely glow! To give height to the room - the ceilings are 20 feet high! - we also created large trees surrounded by candlelight and florals. A lounge was placed in one of the overhangs upstairs, as well as high cocktail tables for guests to relax and mingle. Above the head table, which was later turned into the dance floor, we created gorgeous birdcage chandeliers.
