Real Weddings | Beth & Ryan

This summer we have been so busy, we hardly know up from down, but we love our job, and wouldn't have it any other way!  This past weekend, we had multiple weddings, one of them being Beth and Ryan's at Zart1312 downtown Des Moines.  The couple chose plum and fuchsia, and incorporated their love of movies into their day as well.  In fact, their ceremony was held at the Fleur Cinema!  For their tables at the reception, we created lamps from large glass containers with submerged flowers, lamp shades, and a light to make the whole thing absolutely glow!  To give height to the room - the ceilings are 20 feet high! - we also created large trees surrounded by candlelight and florals.  A lounge was placed in one of the overhangs upstairs, as well as high cocktail tables for guests to relax and mingle.  Above the head table, which was later turned into the dance floor, we created gorgeous birdcage chandeliers.

How does this happen?

As you can tell from the sparadic posts, that we have really been busy lately traveling the state from wedding to wedding. I promise that I will get better and have the pictures coming to testify of our harried schedule.  As most of you know, I am a lousy picture taker (photographers - you are safe from any competition from me!), so I have to rely on the professionals for wedding pics for you.  They are coming!

In the meantime, I have several weddings coming up with fall themes.  I have to say that this is my favorite time of the year.  I love wearing sweaters, having to grab a soft scarf to tie around my neck,  and bringing out the autumn decor.  The colors at this time of year are beautiful: coppers, golds, oranges, browns, plum and eggplant, and rich greens.   Wedding Paper Divas happen to agree with my thought process.   They have some beautiful fall wedding idea that bear repeating here.  Enjoy!
