Even though we are in the middle of a cold snapping winter, we can enjoy the warmth from these adorable engagement pictures from Geno Photography.  This couple is the perfect example of why Iowa is such a great state. We love the pictures with their truck, but have a serious crush affair going on with their little sweetie!

 

Engaged Love with Dreamstate Photography

We love seeing couples in love, especially through the lens of one of our favorite Photographers; Dreamstate Photography.  They have an uncanny knack of capturing a couples's fun spirit.  This engagement session is right up our alley with the gorgeous fall colors and the Des Moines' downtown Sculpture Garden.  Oh, and make sure to check out that afghan blanket - we are running out the door to find our own!

 "This adorable couple met at UNI and have been inseparable since.  So it was only a matter of time before they got engaged.  For their engagement photo session, they wanted to incorporate some of their real-life favorite things like music, art, their apartment around the corner from the Sculpture Garden, and a touch of fall.  A really good engagement session is about so much more than beautiful photographs.  The photographs have to be personal, too.  A million thanks to Amanda and TJ for being open to such a personal photoshoot!"

Engagement Photos | Lance Shuey Photography

One of our favorite trends that has been holding strong is 'rustic.'  Being in Iowa, we have no shortage of barns, and they make great spots for not only the actual ceremony and/or reception, but also for engagement shoots!  These engagement photos of Shannon and Alex come to us from Lance Shuey Photography, one of our Preferred Wedding Book Vendors.  This barn is in Iowa City, and is extra special because it's actually where Alex proposed to Shannon!  We love the bales of hay and the bright, gorgeous red backdrop.  Check back tomorrow for Shannon & Alex's wedding photos!!
