I was traveling yesterday, visiting various bridal shops. It is amazing to me the vast difference in shops and their owners. You can usually tell the successful ones--they have a smile on their face, greet you warmly, love to show off their shoppe and are in the know about the latest fashions. Their stores are neat and tidy, their display cases are clean and organized and there is room to walk around and wander. Their dresses are clean and up to date fashions. No small fete for the shoppe owner, and a wonderful experience for the bride looking for her wedding dress.
Being in business for yourself is never an easy task and especially so when you have to have a constant turnover of fashionable items to sell. It takes a keen eye, a savvy business sense and smart choices to make it all work together. Iowa brides are very lucky to have such great shoppes to choose their dresses from and better still are the owners who greet them with a hometown smile and spirit of pride.
