Wedding Inspirations | The Modern Day Groom

Gone are the days when grooms only wedding day attire option was a rented suit. Today's grooms are adding their own twist and personality into their wedding day attire and we love it! Slimmer tuxes, bow-ties, suspenders, tweed and unusual suits are all something we are seeing more and more of. We love that grooms are wanting to look their best just as much as their brides do! Here are some of our favorite modern day looks.

Mark your calenders for Sunday, October 6! The Preferred Bridal Show will be at Quality Inn and Suites in Ames from 12-3! There will be tons of amazing vendors, great prizes, wedding inspirations and a bridal runway show put on by Pure Bridal! You won't want to miss this show!

This is way too cute!

I found this on MyDIYWeddingDay and since it was too cute not to pass on, I will reblog it here.  As many of my readers know, I love the unique things for weddings.  Each couple needs to put their own stamp on their wedding and this is a great way to show your individuality.   Just consider this project with your own wedding colors and something that is special just for your groom.  I had one bride's groom make sure there were little red cardinals attached to the bouts since he was a Cardinal baseball fan.

1. Cut out three leaf-shaped pieces of thick paper. Glue a piece of floral wire to the back of each.
2. Thread thin jewelry wire through buttons--try hitting up a flea market or a craft store to find ones you like.
3. Bunch them all together like a bouquet, then circle a piece of wire around them to hold them together.
4. Wrap the bottom with twine and ribbon to hide the wire and tied it in knot.
5. Stick a pin through to attach!
