DIY Projects | Honeycomb Guest Book
Guest books can be so much more than a small book to be put in a closet and never looked at again - and this idea would be perfect to display as art in your home for years after the wedding!

Vintage Rentals | UBetts Rental & Design
We have been MIA lately. Starting a new business takes energy and effort and time, neither any of us have a lot of. However, we are determined, so we are proud to introduce: Vintage Love, rentals and annessi. Vintage Love has grown out of a love of all things weddings, including the DIY and vintage bride who have no where to go for antiques and fun decor for their weddings at a substantial savings. annessi simply means "one thing and another" - a perfect description of what we have.
Our warehouse is chock full of "stuff." There just isn't any other way to describe the wonderful jumbled shelves stocked with vintage, modern, eclectic, fun, kitchy, out of the norm and any other adjective we can think of things that are waiting for you to use.
Many brides have been telling us that they are raiding antique stores, their Grandmother's attics, second hand shops and other out of the way places trying to find those special decor items for their unique and highly personal events. As you know this can get very pricey! What if you would like 20 blue Mason Jars for candle holders, but at $6.00 each, that is 120.00 just for 20 jars [and 20 jars doesn't go that far with your decor, we know!] and then what do you do after the wedding is over? Yes, you can sell them to another bride, but do you really want to pack them, store them, advertise them, ship them, etc? We know that you have better things to do with your time. We those jars and more under one roof for one extremely low price - we are talking seriously low price!!
Old bottles, Got 'em.
Old boxes - every size you can think of, Got 'em.
Mason Jars, clear and blue - till they are coming out of our ears! Got 'em!
Furniture, old, modern, kitchy, upholstered, and everything else, Got it!
Chandeliers in every style, Got 'em!
Chair covers - OM Goodness we have tons of them! - Got 'em!
Baskets, vases, old books, the list goes on and on - We have them and more!
Trust me when I say this - I am pretty sure that Lowe's and Home Depot have no more hardware in stock because we put everything up on shiny new shelves for you to see.
We will be working in the weeks to come to get some pictures online. We are also working on a catalog for you to look through when you visit us. In the meantime, if you are looking for something for your wedding, we probably have it, so give us a call. If we don't, we'll go find it! Come see for yourself why we are serious when we say we have "Vintage Love!"

This morning, I am featuring a guest blogger - yes we are really in full mode now that the 4th is fast approaching!
Jen is actually one of my brides who is getting married next year. She have a lovely , quick spirit that I am sure you will see as you follow her writings. Enjoy!

DIY projects are really great for anyone who is looking to keep their wedding budget in check or for those couples who want to add a personal touch to the elements of their big day. Depending on the time, money, and know-how for each engaged couple, the wedding can be partially or wholly made up of DIY.
Some DIY projects seem unreal unless you have specialized knowledge or connections to a specific skill. For example, I would not suggest to any bride that she create her own wedding dress unless she had some kind of seamstress or tailoring background. The results could end up being not what she wanted, a waste of time, or a drain on money. If a bride had made complex garments before, however, and decided to make her own wedding dress, she could save a lot of money and have a customized gown with her own personal flare literally sewn in.
Other DIY projects are completely user-friendly for most couples (even for those of us who are not Martha Stewarts). Often couples and perhaps their friends and family may feel comfortable tackling something such as creating fun place cards for their guests to find their seats...maybe white paper bag luminerias...maybe a special favor for their guests to take home as a momento of the day.
Today's DIY project comes to us from a fantastic website called Flights of Fancy. It is an adorable DIY favor project that leaves you with vintage-looking cellophane bags for edible favors that leave your guests with a homespun feel... http://blog.qcweddings.com/
