What have we been up to?

We have been busy lately!  Meeting with clients, visiting with vendors, answering the phones, working on proposals, traveling the state for Bridal Shows, etc.  Just trying to keep up with the day to day operations can be a feat all of itself!  I wanted to share the latest happenings with you; a recap if you will.....

The Preferred Bridal Show that we hosted yesterday in Ames at the Quality Inn and Suites was a wonderful show.  We had great vendors, beautiful tablescapes, live floral demonstrations, a wonderful runway show by Elaine's Bridal and so much more.  Each guest was greeted with a glass of wine or sparkling cider and a relaxed atmosphere.  The fashion show was standing room only.  Come join us for this Sunday's show at the Embassy Suites on the River in Des Moines.

We have been traveling across the state.  One day it is Dubuque, then Iowa City, Waterloo, and Des Moines.  One such travel was Fort Dodge.  We decorated a lovely wedding there.  Click here for more information.....

I visited a wonderful new venue last week - Lotus Moments Event Center.
Wood floors, multiple rooms to move and flow an event, even a mini Art Gallery.  Love it!

I have been researching for several weddings we have this summer.  One wedding's colors are pink and gold.  Love this combination!  I found these Wedding Boards for inspiration.

Real Weddings | Fort Dodge

We were privileged to work with a dear couple two weeks ago at their lovely wedding in Fort Dodge.   Emily loved gold and wanted lots of it at her reception.
Her floral colors were burgundy and ivory with champagne accents.  They used clear square glass vases and topped them with large lush floral arrangements and hung crystals from them for bling and shine.   For the shorter arrangements, they used various heights of clear square glass vases and filled them with clear water beads, underwater lights and burgundy flowers.  Half of the tables were shorter arrangements and the other half tall.  Various types of centerpieces give more for your guests to see as well as are a way to show off a couple's personal style.
Their head table had plenty of bling, florals and candles as did the cake table.
Congratulations to a beautiful couple!
