Real Weddings | Peri & Billy, Part II

Yesterday, we shared with you some of Peri & Billy's wedding photos from Lindsay's Photography. Here are more photos from their reception and decor! [All photos courtesy of Lindsay's Photography, unless otherwise noted].

Their reception was held at Zart1312, downtown Des Moines, which has tall storefront windows looking out onto one of the main streets. You can spot the bride in the window if you look closely!

The groom's cake was a complete surprise for Billy - Peri had the bakery create a Butterfinger and Diet Coke shaped cake, as they are Billy's favorite!

Peri and Billy's colors were dark purple, silver, and black. We used a zebra-print settee for the King and Queen seating for a modern flair.

Their cake was done by Let Them Eat Cake, and it was absolutely delicious! There were only a few pieces left over - the guests loved it! The square and round alternating tiers gave this cake a very elegant and modern feel.

Zart has very tall ceilings, so we created large trees to give the room height.

The escort card table was dripping in crystals - after all the guests were seated, we turned this table into the favor table:

We created two modern lounges in the upstairs area with photos of Peri & Billy on the easels and photos of their parents and grandparents in the frames on the bookshelves. Guests had a great time looking at the photos!

The guests tables were flooded with candlelight and the floral arrangements.

At the bottom of the tall silver trees, we created mini gardens and candles to create visual interest.

Real Weddings | Peri & Billy, Part I

Last month, one of our own, Peri, married her best friend, Billy. Their ceremony was held at Grace United Methodist Church in Des Moines, and their reception was at Zart1312 downtown Des Moines. They had been planning their wedding for about two years, so no detail was overlooked, and everything turned out absolutely gorgeous. The theme of the day was modern and sophisticated, with a little bit of romance thrown in. Their photographer, Lindsay's Photography, did not disappoint and we could not wait to share these photos with you!

The church was absolutely gorgeous, so we didn't have to add much. We lined the front with floral arrangements and white flower petals, and since they didn't have a flower girl, we sprinkled a few petals up to the table where they signed their marriage license.
