Weddings can make me cry......

I had the honor of meeting a very beautiful family yesterday.  I am privileged that I will be working with them on their daughter's wedding this summer.   They are genuine, loving and want their daughter to have a beautiful Wedding Experience.
Okay, I'll admit it, they made me cry!
Here are some pictures that serve as our inspiration for their wedding.

Wedding Dress Looks | Black Gowns

Normally, I wouldn't be a fan of a black gown for a wedding, but this beauty may change my mind.   Is this not perfection?

Can you stand another fall posting?

I can't help it! I love this time of year, so naturally, I want to share the bounty of the season with you. Here are some random pictures to inspire your fall wedding event.

Candles are always a great centerpiece.  You can never have too many!

This would be a great DIY project.

Tuesday

It is a good day to curl up with a good book

It is chilly, windy, rainy and a good day to curl up with a good book today, but that isn't very "wedding minded," so here is some Fall Inspiration for your November Wedding Celebration from one of my favorite blogs:  French Garden House.

This would be beautiful to line the steps into the church.

Wouldn't this be a beautiful centerpiece?  I love the lush look and the berries.

Because of the season, serving something delicious at your wedding not only creates a specialness, but also gives your guests a glimpse of your personalities.  Here is a delicious Pumpin Latte that would be fun to serve with dessert.

Pumpkin Spice Latte  ( makes 2 servings)

2 cups milk
2 T canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon of Torani Pumpkin Spice Syrup
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1-2 shots espresso  (about 1/4 cup of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee if you don't have an espresso machine)

Directions: In a saucepan combine milk, pumpkin and sugar and cook on medium heat, stirring, until steaming. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and spice, transfer to a blender and process for 15 seconds until foamy. If you don't have a blender, just whisk the mixture really well with a wire whisk. Pour into two cups. Add the espresso on top. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or cinnamon on top.

Tonight's Wedding Celebration

Congratulations to a great couple!  As I am writing this, my client is celebrating their wedding celebration.  They got married this afternoon and decided to have a later reception with heavy hors d' oeuvres.  Our goal for their environment was to create an elegant yet comfortable place for their guests to relax and celebrate.

We started with a fall palette of black, orange and gold with brown and green thrown in for some visual interest.  I love orchids, so used plenty of them in the centerpieces and trees, adding crystals and plenty of natural textures.

The cake was a three tier cake done in three parts.  I love the three gold boxes set on a diagonal and surrounded by candlelight.  The bookshelves behind give the cake table a focal point and take it from ordinary to extraordinary.

The lounge incorporated leather couches and benches, rugs, pillows, lamps and lots of candlelight.  It is a perfect place to sit with friends and sip a glass of wine while listening to the latest DJ song.

The initials on the dance floor were a crowning touch.  I love doing the unexpected and their initials made the gobo light fun.
