Week in Review

Jan 18 | Things are always happening around here! | by Cynthia

It has been another busy week.  Between appointments, proposals, Bridal Show work and getting the Warehouse ready as a venue, time is a precious commodity around here!  We have the week condensed in case you  missed an important post.

Did you know that we are on Facebook three different ways? Here, Here and Here.  We also have two Twitter accounts Here and Here and love to Instagram!  Look us up and follow us for more information, contests, where to find the gang and learn about the newest, the best and the fun in the wedding world.

We love Sundays! They are perfect for making a cup of coffee and relaxing with your favorite blog. Of course, we are a little prejudice, especially when we have a gorgeous wedding from Geno Photography to share with you! But let's be honest. we are suckers for a romantic story told in beautiful pictures any day of the week!

We are excited to welcome Kara Vorwald Photography to the Preferred Wedding Book this week.  Her work is nothing short of sweet, gorgeous pictures telling couple's stories with an artistic eye.  Here are a few of this amazing photographer's work.

We love showcasing designers, so Tuesday's Dress Love stunner was Stella York -an Australian-inspired collection. These designs are inspired by red carpet trends from world designers. They are handcrafted with a devotion to detail and are absolutely stunning.

We are suckers for details. As designers, we know that details are important because the sum of the parts is what your guests will take away in their memory bank when they recall your event.  We are particularly drawn to table settings. Whether your style is contemporary, rustic, minimalistic, earthy, vintage, modern or a mixture of all, paying attention to all the elements that go into setting a beautiful table is very important for the final look.   We shared some of our favorites with you Here.

We have been busy working in the warehouse this week. We decided to open it up as a funky, unusual venue space for Ceremonies, Receptions, Engagement Sessions and other Events, so we have been rearranging, redoing, adding more rentals and creating spaces within spaces. If you would like to take a personal tour through this fun space or need more information, please contact Cynthia@WeddingsinIowa.com.

The 2014 Wedding Season is in full swing. With Weddings comes Engagement Photo Sessions which we love! It is the perfect time to see the love & passion that a couple have for each other. It is also a time to get creative with your style and locations. When Geno Photography sent us this Engagement Shoot, we were over the moon in love instantly with this couple's fun spirit and obvious fun that they throughout their day.
