Wedding Inspiration | First Look

One of our jobs as an event planner is to help you with your timeline and think about the flow of your day, and a "first look" with your photographer is sometimes helpful to make everything effortless. If you are unfamiliar, it's the moment you and your soon-to-be-husband/wife see each other for the first time before officially walking down the aisle. It takes a little bit of the pressure off, instead of having that moment in front of all your guests. One of our Preferred Vendors, Carrie Geno from Geno Photography, wrote to us about this very topic this summer here. While we know that traditionally, brides and grooms have avoided this, these adorable first look series may sway your opinion.

Real Weddings | Joanne & Blake, Part III

We're so in love with Joanne and Blake's gorgeous Labor Day wedding at the Salisbury House and Gardens, and Jill Brown Photography was there to capture it all. The couple are absolutely adorable together, and you could just tell all the love between them and their family and friends. They treated their guests to a delicious dessert buffet, and even had a popcorn bar and a gelato bar later in the evening! The weather turned out to be perfect, and people danced the night away under the stars and the twinkling lights in the tent. A great time was had by all, and we couldn't be happier for the newlyweds!

Real Weddings | Joanne & Blake, Part II

Yesterday was Part I of Joanne & Blake's Salisbury House wedding. Today, Part II! The couple's ceremony was held in the amazing gardens at the back of the house. The chuppah was covered with a tablecloth and some additional fabric from one of Joanne's grandmothers, and music was provided by a live string duo. The cocktail hour was held inside the house, and the reception was held under a huge tent that extended over the entire circle-drive at the front of the house. Joanne and Blake chose gray with accents of cranberry, green, and peach which created a soft and sophisticated feel.
