It's a snow day in Iowa today, with 10-13 inches in the Des Moines area!  Bundle up, grab some hot chocolate, and enjoy this beautiful winter wedding photo shoot!

Gone are the days when a couple made an appointment to get their engagement pictures taken in a photographer's studio.  Couples today want a natural, "this is life" type of photo that has a wonderful artsy feel.  Carrie from Geno Photography shoots thousands of couples from engagements, weddings and life experiences, so she knows that couples are looking for the different, the artistic and the fun.  When she sent me these engagement pictures from a recent shoot, I was excited to see the old spaces; barns, doors, bricks, you name it - I am there! 
For Evan and Aleasha's engagement session, they headed to the West Liberty train depot.  "There was a lot of great diversity of spots to photograph at it just that small spot: the tracks, the depot, a train car, and a wonderful old barn."  Sounds like my kind of place!
