Even though we are designers by nature, we are not above looking through Pinterest for ideas. We find inspiration everywhere, so when we came across this Bread and Butter Station, we went crazy and knew we had to share. Oh, please let us do this at our next wedding!

Lake Weddings

Since we have such a lovely weekend ahead of us, we thought that a little rest and relaxation might be in order and what better way to relax that by a sparkling lake with a slight breeze ruffling our summer clothes while we are sipping a yummy cocktail. Yes, we might be dreaming slightly, but with such a gorgeous weekend forecast, we have lake-side weddings on the horizon.

What are we up to this week?

We have to confess that this week will be a rough one. The weather alone is not keeping hearts warm since temps are below zero for the high, so we think that we will be working on the outdoor photo shoot, inside! The lack of posting for the last two days was due to funerals in the WeddingsinIowa.com family. My son lost his battle against brain cancer last week, and was laid to rest Saturday. The day before his funeral, I learned that my father passed away from a long illness with Alzheimers. Not the best start to the New Year to say the least. Your support and caring notes have been very comforting and my family and I appreciate them more than words can say.

Our 2014 Wedding Trends continues today with one of our ultimate favorites - Gold.

We are always looking for a way to add this shiney metal to any of our events since we think the warmth and elegance that is lends always dresses up any Wedding. We are thrilled to know that our efforts are among the many! Gold can be found everywhere for 2014: dresses, linens, decor, stationery, even dessert has a touch of this luster.

We couldn't be happier!

As you have guessed, we are excited around the office this week - Christmas Week!
We wait all year for this wonderful time of the year. Wrapping gifts, spending time with friends and family, sipping hot chocolate by the fire, the sights, the decorations, the sounds and more. We have a lot to celebrate!
