Wedding Inspirations | Navy and Gold

We love gold! Gold is opulent, regal and timeless, not to mention, it pairs perfectly with navy. We are loving this rich color combination right now as we make our way through Fall and head into Winter. If you want to glam up this already stunning color palette, add some sparkle with sequins or glitter!

Linens make a difference

If you have the budget to splurge on one thing at the reception, make it your linens. The linens that come with most venues (you know--white, barely-covering-the-table, has-seen-better-days linens) don't really convey your style to your guests. Unless the room is dark, most plain white linens really don't help a room to pop or show off your centerpieces that well. A subtle ivory or even a white stripe on white can bring some depth and texture to an otherwise noring set-up.
Choosing a color palette that includes colored linens - whether they be floor length, chair-apron length, or overlays- at your reception just ups the chic factor and really shows that you went the extra mile to make sure that everything tells your wedding story. Even a colored table runner can bring instant pizazz to a plain table.
Don't like your venue's chairs? Chair covers with a colored sash can instantly transform a room. Here are some inspirations for you.

Popular Colors

I am finding that some of the most popular colors right now are black and white. You can put anything with them for a pop of color and they certainly make a grand statement. These examples from the blog spot: Ciao-tay are why I love this combination so much. I have a bride using apple green as her pop of color. I have another bride using hot pink and still another bride just keeping to the black, white and ivories for her special day.
Instead of choosing just three colors, try four or five for a full color range palette. Make it interesting and fun. Don't limit yourself to just a few colors when there are so many hues out there to choose from. Don't know where to start or are unsure of putting colors together? Head to your nearest paint store. Stand in front of the paint chip samples and start playing with color combinations. Make your choices personal and perfect for your wedding story.
