Simple Weddings

Sometimes, the simplest of events are the most beautiful. Case in point, these wedding Ceremonies are simplistic in nature, but utterly gorgeous and thoughtful. So whether you say your vows on a sunny beach, under your childhood backyard tree, in a field among the daisies or down on the farm; remember to never loose sight of the day's goal - spending the rest of your life with your best friend!

Spring has sprung!

May 6 | Outdoor Weddings | by Cynthia
_________________________________

As you can tell from the sporadic posts, I have been occupied other than in my office for the last couple of weeks. I apologize that I have been MIA; spring has finally sprung around our house and I have had to put on my gardener hat to get everything accomplished before our wedding season hits us hard.  It took me over two weeks just to get the beds cleaned out. I have a love / hate relationship with our trees on the property at this time of the year! So between raking leaves, pulling weeds [why do they always survive no matter what?] and planting new plants to take the place of the ones that didn't survive the long winter, I had to take a break from blogging.
Despite the back-breaking work . the garden is a beautiful place to be; quiet, sunny with a mild breeze and birds flying overhead - no wonder couples opt for an outdoor wedding every chance they get!

Real Weddings | Garden Fun

We had the priviledge of working with a wonerdul couple earlier this summer.  It was a second wedding, so the emphasis was on close family and friends.  Both of the couple are gardeners, so we decided to recreate a garden in the middle of an empty room.  You would be surprised what mulch, bricks and lots of plants will do for a room.
Congratulations Mary and Jim!

Mary and Jim were married on the Friday before their Reception at the Candlelit Way Wedding Chapel.   Their reception was held the next day at the Lakeside Center in  Ankeny.
