Beautiful Table Settings

A beautiful table setting for your wedding can go a long way to making a big difference to your overall wedding look.  Sitting down to a gorgeously appointed table makes everyone sit up and take notice of all the details and time that you spent time working on.

These tables are not only a joy to look at, but make us hungry for the food that is soon to be served.  We do, after all, eat with our eyes first, so a beautiful table just sets the mood for a great meal!

Real Weddings | Liz & Adrian

Last weekend we had multiple weddings - we shared a few photos from Carrie & Jon's Toad Valley Country Club wedding in a recent post, and now we are thrilled to share with you another wedding we were honored to be a part of.  Liz and Adrian were married at the Celebration Farm near Iowa City in a gorgeous ceremony and vintage reception.  We used a variety of vintage dishes and milkglass to give the tables a vintage feel, and had multiple lounges upstairs with vintage furniture from our Vintage Love & annessi warehouse.

We were so excited that Liz and Adrian chose Carrie Geno at Geno Photography for their photographer - we knew that meant amazing photos for us obsess over!  And, we were right - these photos are outstanding - she did a wonderful job capturing this beautiful couple and their amazing day, and we can't wait to see even more of her photos!

From Carrie -

"Cynthia, It was an absolute pleasure working with you at Liz & Adrian's wedding.  It was the most beautiful wedding I have shot for a very long time.  The reception decor was amazing!  ... It was so much fun to photograph!"

Congratulations Liz and Adrian!

Wedding inspirations | Vintage Love

Vintage decor seems to be taking the Wedding Market by a storm.  We see it everywhere - designers, centerpieces, cakes, furniture, gowns and so much more.
No where else can vintage make such an impact than in your wedding decor and table settings.  Our company, Special Events, LLC started a new company this year to address this growing trend; "Table Love."  This division of our company has a love of all things to do with your guest tables with a nod to vintage and unique.

We are loving these pictures as inspiration......

Using mismatched plates, textured napkins, raw materials, and other personal details on your tables, lets your guests focus on your style and the beautiful event that they are attending.  Exquisite printed menus draw attention to Grandmother's plates that she received for her own nuptials and a burlap runner creates a backdrop for gorgeous china.  Patterned tablecloths don't always mean you have to use boring white china.   In our own closets, we mix patterns and styles to express our individualism, so why wouldn't you do the same for your wedding tables?

Want to explore the possibilities of your own vintage table?  Email us to set up a complimentary consultation.  Our only limitation is your imagination.

Real Weddings | The Full Bouquet

I am always looking for inspiration to use for my own events as well as expanding my knowledge with what is out there in the "Wedding World." One can get tunnel vision if left to their own devices at times.  I have always said that I never wanted to be typecast into one particular type of style. It is important to me to know and do different things all the time.  There is so much out there, that the more I know, the more I want to know and do!

There is an incredible florist in the Washington DC area whose business name is The Full Bouquet .  I have been following her work of late and confess that I am a true fan. Her work is incredible!  I am jealous - but in a totally good way! I can't seem to get enough and am so excited to share some of her fabulous creations with you.

The colors of this featured wedding make me long for Spring.  The flowers and textures are beautiful.  The outdoor setting is perfect.   The flower girls were the couple's great nieces and look so sweet in their outfits.  The Escort card table is perfect for a romantic/vintage vibe and since we are starting to offer vintage plates this year in our rentals, the place settings couldn't be more perfect.
