Excited to be Here!

Hello, Everyone!

As the blog's newest contributor, I thought I should take a minute to introduce myself! My name is Ashley... a twenty something graphic designer who hails from Eastern Iowa. While attending ISU I met my now husband and was offered a full time graphic design job at a local technology company, making Central Iowa my home. I love all things weddings, DIY, reading, glitter and fabulous design!

Some very important details about me are:
1. I am a crazy cat lady! If I could have 100 cats, I would. My husband keeps me in check and only allows for 2 at the moment.
2. My thumb is black, no literally, it's black. I haven't been able to keep a house plant alive more than 2 weeks. It's not my fault, it's the plant's fault. I keep buying more plants thinking I just bought a bad one last time.
3. I love glitter. Glitter, glitter and more glitter!
4. The Real Housewives or any city is my guilty pleasure. I can't get enough of it! Who doesn't love watching a good ol' table flip?
5. If I had it my way, I would have 1 wedding a year (of course I would marry my husband each and every time)! I want a peacock wedding, vintage wedding, nautical wedding... you get the point. Wedding Inspirations | Beautiful Bouquets

Choosing your bouquet is important; it will be in all your pictures, the colors usually set the tone for the rest of the wedding and the style of it should compliment your frame and dress.   If you are small, you don't want something that is overpowering, on the other hand, if you are tall, then you don't want something that will get lost in the overall look.

Whether you choose a monochromatic theme, wild flower feel, or perfect rows of roses, make it a bouquet that you will forever look back on and love as much 25 years from now as you did on your wedding day.

Real Weddings | The Full Bouquet

I am always looking for inspiration to use for my own events as well as expanding my knowledge with what is out there in the "Wedding World." One can get tunnel vision if left to their own devices at times.  I have always said that I never wanted to be typecast into one particular type of style. It is important to me to know and do different things all the time.  There is so much out there, that the more I know, the more I want to know and do!

There is an incredible florist in the Washington DC area whose business name is The Full Bouquet .  I have been following her work of late and confess that I am a true fan. Her work is incredible!  I am jealous - but in a totally good way! I can't seem to get enough and am so excited to share some of her fabulous creations with you.

The colors of this featured wedding make me long for Spring.  The flowers and textures are beautiful.  The outdoor setting is perfect.   The flower girls were the couple's great nieces and look so sweet in their outfits.  The Escort card table is perfect for a romantic/vintage vibe and since we are starting to offer vintage plates this year in our rentals, the place settings couldn't be more perfect.
